Teaching
Searching for a harp teacher for yourself or your child can be a daunting process, but I’m here to try and make it easier. A good teacher isn’t just a teacher: they’re a mentor, an artistic guide, and an introduction to the harp community as a whole. My teaching philosophy centers on technique, artistry, and accessibility.
Technique
Strong technique is about playing in a way that’s comfortable and sounds great. Combining French harp technique with processes like mindfulness and yoga, I aim for a mind-body-instrument connection that gives you total control over your sound and playing.
Artistry
Playing music is art, and my job as your or your child’s teacher is to nurture your art practice, figure out the kind of music you want to make, and empower you to make it.
Accessibility
Learning how to play an instrument is for everyone regardless of age or ability, and I will adapt your lessons to meet your needs and goals. My fee is on a sliding scale to try and remove financial barriers to access for aspiring harpists.
